STATEMENT GENERAL
Mis inquietudes y reflexiones rodean cuatro panorámicas memoriales como yo las registro: mi identidad indígena, mi deseo homosexual, mi contexto urbano y mi pensamiento poético, suelo tocar cada tópico o relacionarlos, con el fin de visibilizar una interseccionalidad identitaria. Me valgo de los distintos medios y formatos del arte contemporáneo para esto. Uno de mis intereses particulares es repensar y resignificar críticamente las ideas que se tienen respecto a dichos conceptos por medio de la hibridación. Mi trabajo busca metaforizar y tensar realidades sociales y políticas a través del lenguaje poético y de las artes visuales, utilizando el cuerpo y la palabra como herramientas de creación. Los tópicos constantes en mi propuesta son: género, sexo, raza, clase, identidad, cuerpo, deseo, homoerotismo, origen, memoria, poética, lenguaje, imagen, objeto, disidencia sexual y todos los posibles vínculos.
GENERAL STATEMENT
My concerns and reflections include four important memorials as I register them: my indigenous identity, my homosexual desire, my urban context and my poetic mind; I usually encompass each one and intertwine them, with the objective of bring visibility of an interrelated identity. Using different media and formats of contemporary art for this task. One of my main interests is rethink and bring a new meaning to the ideas about such concepts through hybridization. My work attempts to metaphorize and tense social and political ideas through poetic language and visual arts, using body and word as tools of creation. The topics that are constant in my artwork include: gender, sex, race, class, identity, body, desire, homoeroticism, origin, memory, poetics, language, image, object, sexual dissidence and all possible links between them.
